Abstract
⺠Modeling and experimental studies have been carried out to examine pressure-swirl atomization. ⺠Hollow conical spray made up of large droplets. ⺠Presence of a recirculation zone made up of smallest droplets in accordance with experiments. ⺠Good agreement between droplet Sauter Mean Diameter measured by the PDA and calculated by the model.
