Abstract
⺠We perform a linear stability analysis on the power-law liquid sheet. ⺠Breakup length and wavelength of disturbance on the liquid sheet are predicted. ⺠Breakup length and wavelength decrease as We-number of the liquid sheet increases. ⺠The coefficient in empirical equation predicting breakup length should be 8 for gel. ⺠The experiments verify the linear stability method for gel.
