Abstract
► Solid-liquid interactions are numerically simulated in presence of a free-surface. ► Solid objects are treated as a fluid with a high viscosity. ► The model is a fast-fictitious-domain method integrated into VOF technique. ► Water entry of a sphere and free fall of one/two circular particles are simulated. ► The results are in good agreement with those of the reported in the literature.
