Abstract
⺠VOF method was employed to investigate the effect of communicating channels. ⺠Wide communication channels lead to a worsened gas flow distribution. ⺠Narrow communication channels are helpful for mitigating the flow maldistribution. ⺠With communication channels, water removal from flow channels is delayed. ⺠Simulation results were qualitatively validated by experiments.
