Abstract
⺠Continuous-based biomagnetic separation in a planner meso-channel is simulated using a Full Eulerian-based CFD approach. ⺠The transport of the magnetically labeled biospecies is subjected to a more realistic wall impermeability condition. ⺠Predictions present a scheme of confined and controllable collection of these biospecies under continues flow conditions. ⺠The interplay between mass transfers mediated by magnetophoresis and by molecular diffusion is analyzed. ⺠The predicted wall shear stress is found to provide a safe transport mechanism for the biospecies.
