Abstract
► Continuous-based biomagnetic separation in a planner meso-channel is simulated using a Full Eulerian-based CFD approach. ► The transport of the magnetically labeled biospecies is subjected to a more realistic wall impermeability condition. ► Predictions present a scheme of confined and controllable collection of these biospecies under continues flow conditions. ► The interplay between mass transfers mediated by magnetophoresis and by molecular diffusion is analyzed. ► The predicted wall shear stress is found to provide a safe transport mechanism for the biospecies.
