Abstract
- Graphene oxide GO was synthesized by modified Hummers' method.
- Higher dye uptake in the case of GO was specifically due to the favorable active sites on the GO surface.
- Alkaline pH was found suitable for dyes adsorption onto GO.
- The GO has demonstrated high adsorption efficiency in comparison to pristine graphene.
