Abstract
- Safranal and Crocin were extracted from saffron with SC-CO2.
- Solutes extraction conditions were optimized by RSM for maximum recovery.
- Safranal optimum conditions are 92 °C, 21.3 MPa, 0.9 ml minâ1 and 122 min.
- Crocin optimum conditions are 44 °C, 19.3 MPa, 1.0 ml minâ1 and 110.0 min.
- Safranal and Crocin maximum recovery are 91.76 and 32.67Â w/w%, respectively.
