Abstract
- SFE of E. globulus deciduous bark carried out at three different scales: 0.5, 5.0 and 80.0Â L.
- Modeling results evidence that intraparticle diffusion controls the SFE.
- The ratio between CO2 flow rate and biomass weight is established as scale-up criterion.
- The cumulative extraction curves measured at the three scales show a good agreement.
- The technical viability of this SFE is demonstrated for future exploitation at larger scales.
