Abstract
- Acetic acid was extracted from aqueous solutions using supercritical carbon dioxide.
- A statistical model was used to optimize extraction efficiency.
- A dynamic extraction model was derived and compared to statistical model.
- The results from model was confirmed through extraction of acetic acid from rumen.
- The extraction of acetic acid from model and rumen solution using SC-CO2 was comparable.
