Abstract
▶ A novel method for preparing V2O3 nanoparticles with spherical morphology was disclosed by supercritical ethanol fluid reduction of VOC2O4. ▶ The carbon oxides decomposed from C2O42− were conducive to the formation of the uniform sphere-like nanoparticles. ▶ The mechanism for preparation of V2O3 nanoparticles is the redox reaction of VOC2O4 with ethanol in the supercritical condition and the crystal growth was also proposed.
