Abstract
ⶠSupercritical fluid extraction (SFE) was employed to obtain an extract from thyme (Thymus vulgaris L.). ⶠSupercritical fluid chromatography at preparative scale (Prep-SFC) was then employed to fractionate the original supercritical extract into three different fractions. ⶠAfter a preliminary screening, one of the Prep-SFC collected fractions showed a high content in thymol.
