Abstract
•Proposal of correction factor to Cioncolini and Thome (2012) correlation.•Correction factor accounts for the effect of pipe orientation and high system pressure on liquid entrainment fraction.•Proposed modification predicts more than 80% of data within ±50% error in horizontal and upward pipe inclinations.•Proposed modification predicts more than 90% of data at high system pressure within ±30% error.
