Abstract
An acoustic technique is introduced for determining the bubble Sauter mean diameter d32 for a wide range of sizes, from 0.75 to 3Â mm, covering the range of interest of flotation. The technique is validated against image analysis, with a correlation coefficient R2 equal to 0.99, and represents an alternative to other methods as a tool to monitor the flotation process.108
