Abstract
⺠A bubble linking algorithm is established to characterize bubbles in fluidized beds. ⺠Sensitivity studies yield the appropriate set of parameters for the algorithm. ⺠Optical probes can only give approximations of the actual bubble size. ⺠Obtained bubble sizes deviate from common literature correlations. ⺠The mean bubble size is proportional to the mean bubble rise velocity.
