Abstract
Deposition of poly-dispersed aerosols with diameters ranging from 1 to 10 μm in a pleated fibrous filter with 4 pleats per inch is simulated. The figure shows the dust-cake after 166 days (a pressure drop of 8 kPa at an air inlet velocity of 0.5 m/s). Color-bar shows the solidity of the cake.
