Synthesis and application of a polyacrylate dispersant on the preparation of ultrafine ground calcium carbonate in a laboratory stirred media mill

A polyacrylate dispersant P(AA/AMPS) was successfully synthesized by aqueous polymerization. The copolymer was very soluble in water and could be readily used in the ultrafine wet grinding process. The dispersant significantly improved the efficiency of the ultrafine grinding. The synthetic route is as follows.
