Abstract
The experimental results show that the common scaling parameter, Gs/(Ïpjl), cannot characterize the similarity of the LSCFB risers, although the dimensionless group Gs/(Ïpjl) contains two variable parameters (Gs and jl) in an identical LSCFB system. But a modified new empirical similarity parameter, (ja/jl), can provide the detailed hydrodynamic similitude of the liquid-solid flow in the entire zone of the LSCFB risers under different operating conditions.
