Abstract
⺠Spreading rate of sand-water slurry jet in water varies with nozzle size. ⺠Water-phase centreline velocity increases with increasing particle concentration. ⺠Absolute entrainment coefficient of slurry jets is larger than that of water jets. ⺠Particle drag coefficient decreases in a particle group. ⺠Particle concentration increases the water-phase turbulent shear stress.
