Abstract
⺠New mechanistic models for bubble breakup and coalescence in a packed bed were developed. ⺠The bubble size predictions from new models were compared with the experimental data. ⺠Predicted he median bubble size with the present model compared well with data. ⺠Breakup and coalescence coefficients were obtained from experiments and mechanistic models.
