Abstract
It shows solid volume fraction along bed height. The results have the same trend. At the end the solid volume fraction sharply decreasing to zero, that means particles can be fluidized at the top, while it is characteristic of inverse fluidized bed. The prediction of expansion bed is slightly higher than experiments. The reason is the model parameters used in simulations. Calculated and measured solid volume fraction along bed height.
