Abstract
Tungsten oxides are used in areas ranging from storage devices, catalysis to sensors. Here, a rapid, simple and economical water-assisted route was proposed for the production of nanosized WO2 powders with high conversion yield of 90%. Particle sizes of the as-synthesised nanopowders showed uniform distribution around 35 nm. Fully crystallized nanopowders were successfully synthesised without any morphological changes already after annealing at 500 °C for 2 h.
