Predicting shot peening coverage using multiphase computational fluid dynamics simulations

The quality of a peening process can be determined through coverage area and peening intensity. These two factors can be controlled by many parameters from three groups, which are peen, work piece, and process conditions. In this study, simulations are used to reduce the experimental cost and improve the peening quality.
