Abstract
► A JKR-based DEM approach is built and validated by the single fiber experiment. ► DEM simulation clarifies the mechanisms of impaction-sticking phenomena. ► The sticking probability is dependent on the adhesion parameter by a power law. ► Both adhesion parameter and Stokes number determine the single fiber efficiency.
