Abstract
⺠The coefficient of friction is determined with vertical plates. ⺠DEM captures non-linear trends in experimental data. ⺠Janssen's equation agrees with DEM and experimental data. ⺠Particle flowrate does not affect drag force in slowly moving packed beds.
