Using spray-dried lactose monohydrate in wet granulation method for a low-dose oral formulation of a paliperidone derivative

After wet granulation, spray-dried monohydrate lactose along with HPMC formed irregular spherical structure with homogeneous particle size while un-granulated lactose facilitated the flow and mix of powders which eventually achieved satisfied tablet evaluation results and much better outcome content uniformity. Also wet granulation stabled excipients and API and altered the in vitro dissolution profile with steady gradual release pattern.
