Abstract
Cockle shells powders, distilled water and dodecyl dimethyl betaine were taken into a 250 ml conical flask. The mixture was stirred using a Systematic Multi-Hotplate Stirrer at the rate of 1000 rpm for 2 h at room temperature. Then the sample was separated from mother liquid and dried in a vacuum oven. Finally uniform spherical shaped calcium carbonates nanoparticles in the aragonite phase were observed.
