Abstract
⺠Ni3Fe nanoparticles prepared by reduction of their chlorides with Mg in gas phase. ⺠XRD and WDS results conformed to thermodynamic modeling of the process. ⺠Mean size of the particles synthesized at 1020 °C and 1.4 l/min flow rate was 66 nm. ⺠Increasing argon flow rate from 0.6 to 1.4 l/min decreased the mean particle size. ⺠Increasing reaction temperature significantly lowered the particle size.
