Abstract
⺠A novel technique has been developed to produce near spherical tungsten particles. ⺠No coarsening of the W powder particles occurred during the process. ⺠The alkaline washing removed the oxide layer of the particles effectively. ⺠A model was proposed for the localized preferential oxidation process.
