Abstract
⺠Nanocrystalline titania powders were synthesized during ultrasonically treatment. ⺠Ultrasonic irradiation favors the formation of brookite phase. ⺠5 nm crystallites in mesoporous powders created surface areas as high as 287 m2/g. ⺠Sintering behavior was controlled by 7-10 nm crystallites and submicron aggregates. ⺠Densification curves may provide useful information on powder characterization.
