Abstract
⺠We study experimentally the impact of water drops with hydrophobic powders. ⺠A critical impact speed is identified above which we observe a deformed marble shape. ⺠The maximal deformation of the drop scales with the Weber number to the power 2/5. ⺠The observations show how one can use powders to freeze drop oscillations.
