Abstract
⺠Numerical modeling of fluid flow and particle motion in impact pulverizer was simulated. ⺠Particles are mainly accelerated by fluid drag force but not by impact with rotating hammer. ⺠Particles impact with stator walls at velocity higher than tip speed of hammer. ⺠Frequency and velocity of the particle impact is lower when particle size is smaller.
