Abstract
⺠Volume-change of mixing was investigated at incipient fluidization. ⺠Seven different binary-solid mixtures were used. ⺠Predictions of conventional packing models were poor. ⺠Incorporating drag diameter in packing models led to improved predictions. ⺠Incorporating expansion of smaller solid species led to better description.
