Abstract
âºFirst-contact energy loss and adhesion hysteresis play a crucial role in cases with lower incident velocities. âºAn energy dissipation due to the damping effect is predominant at higher incident velocities; âºThe critical velocity as a key parameter of dynamic impact is mainly dependent on the first-contact energy loss; âºThe adhesion effect is more significant for smaller particles resulting in more negative damping coefficients.
