Abstract
⺠The flow structure and heat transfer in the gas-droplets impinging spray with low mass fraction of droplets (ML1 â¤Â 1%) was studied numerically. ⺠The gas phase turbulence was modeled with the use of second moment closure model for two-phase flow. ⺠Droplets addition caused a significant increase in heat transfer intensity (almost twice) in comparison with a single-phase impinging air jet in the stagnation zone. ⺠In the region of wall jet heat transfer intensity in the two-phase impinging jet decreased and approached the value of a single-phase impinging jet.
