Abstract
⺠A finned-tube heat exchanger is numerically studied. ⺠Effects of tube shape on flow, heat transfer and entropy production are studied. âºÂ Reducing the tube ellipticity leads to entropy production decrease. âºÂ Reducing the tube ellipticity leads to thermalhydraulic performances increase. ⺠An equipartition distribution of irreversibilities is noted when ellipticity decreases.
