Abstract
⺠A non-equilibrium droplet evaporation model was developed. ⺠The wet compression in an 8-stage compressor is analyzed using stage-stacking scheme. ⺠Droplet size plays a major role in affecting the result in the non-equilibrium analysis. ⺠For small droplets, the results are closed to the equilibrium method. ⺠Larger droplets lead to less effective compressor performance. ⺠All droplets completely evaporate in the compressor except the droplets larger than 30 μms.
