Abstract
► Energy and exergy analysis is studied for fluidized bed dryer. ► Thermodynamic efficiency is higher at the start of the process and decreases to zero at the final stage. ► The energy efficiency is found to be higher than the exergy efficiency at all the time. ► It would be advantageous to use the higher air velocity at the first drying stage and then, reduce slowly. ► Two-fluid model is capable of predicting energy and exergy criteria accurate and well.
