Abstract
⺠The metallic porous block subjected to a confined turbulent slot jet is investigated numerically. ⺠A three-dimensional mathematical model, developed using incompressible turbulent Navier-Stokes equations are solved. ⺠Heat transfer enhancement with metallic porous block is found over the studied ranges. ⺠The impinging cooling performance can be effectively improved by employing the metallic porous block.
