Abstract
⺠Experiments and computations on laminar confined 3D planar impinging jet flows. ⺠Flow is symmetric and exhibits spiraling motion inside the impinging plate cell. ⺠The recirculation length increases with the height of the exit channel. ⺠The recirculation length decreases with the angle of the sloping wall. ⺠The wavelength of the spiraling motion decreases with the height of the channel.
