Abstract
⺠Human visual characteristics may be able to applied in energy-saving of lighting. ⺠When illuminance distribution is more uniform, the equivalent illuminance is lower. ⺠When the equivalent illuminance is lower, the perceived brightness is higher. ⺠A simple prediction equation for energy-saving effect of lighting is established. ⺠The type “one-room-one-light” commonly seen in houses may have latent energy waste.
