Abstract
⺠Field studies were conducted during the summer time in Hong Kong. ⺠19 rebar workers performed steel bars fixing and bending until voluntary exhaustion. ⺠Physiological Strain Index was used as a yardstick to determine the rate of recovery. ⺠An optimal recovery time can be determined based on the cumulative curve.
