Abstract
⺠We have measured the environmental performance of a representative type UK hospital building. ⺠We have assessed its resilience to overheating until 2080; it is surprisingly resilient. ⺠We propose and model five adaptive refurbishment options. ⺠The more passive options yield the greater resilience but cooling will be required from 2040 on.
