Abstract
⺠We explain that English suburbs need to adapt for climate change as 86% of the population lives in them. ⺠We present a typology of English suburbs. ⺠Climate change impacts will affect people and the physical environment. ⺠Response capacity in suburbs is related to physical, governance, social and economic conditions.
