Abstract
► Design wind loads are based on past records; no climate change is included. ► Climate models provide −1% to +4% change of the annual maximum daily mean wind speed. ► This effect would imply a change of −0.8% to +2.3% for building codes values. ► Climate scenarios should also focus on extreme events with small time scales. ► The natural variability of wind has a great effect on wind trends.
