Abstract
⺠Reflective insulation is being used in roof and wall system of building envelopes. ⺠R-value is affected by specimen orientation, direction of heat flow and emissivity. ⺠Horizontal specimen with downward heat flow results in the highest R-value. ⺠Horizontal specimen with upward heat flow results in the lowest R-value. ⺠Using ASTM C-518 test method would result in underestimation of specimen R-value.
