Abstract
► Inertio-elastic flow in 180° curved duct of square cross-section for FENE-CR fluids. ► Parametric and numerical study on flow development with variation of elasticity. ► Inertia dominates flow up to 90°, elasticity affects flow after that position. ► Elasticity favours secondary flow transition from one to two pairs of vortices. ► Changes in velocity distribution with appearance of second pair of vortices.
