Abstract
⺠A Brownian dynamics simulation model for polymer/clay nanocomposites is presented. ⺠Nanocomposites are modeled as suspensions of oblate spheroids and FENE dumbbells. ⺠Shear-induced structures of nanocomposites can be simulated using this model. ⺠The active/dangling transition of dumbbells affects the orientation of particles.
