Abstract
⺠The shear-banding flow for simple-shear inhomogeneous flow is examined. ⺠The Bautista-Manero-Puig (BMP) model without gradient terms is used. ⺠The actual flow initiation in a parallel plate rheometer is mimicked. ⺠Both, strain-controlled and stress controlled conditions are considered. ⺠Stress plateau approaches same value independently of the shear history.
