Abstract
⺠We investigate Dean instability of Giesekus fluids at arbitrary gap spacings. ⺠A fluid's elasticity can stabilize or destabilize Dean flow depending on the mobility factor. ⺠Dean flow becomes progressively more stable by an increase in the gap size.
