Abstract
► A BGK LBM model is developed to simulate the power-law fluid flow in a cavity driven by the motion of two facing lids. ► The effect of n and RePL on variation of fluid flow has been studied. ► The movement of the center of vortex is strongly affected by the RePL and n. ► The development of vortex structure in the cavity depends strongly on speed ratio. ► The drag coefficient increases as n increases but do not change significantly with the direction of lid motion.
